Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Collects green fees, sells golf supplies and concessions, and starts players on the golf course.
  • Acquaints new golfers with course rules and regulations.
  • Using excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public.
  • Patrols course property to direct pace of play and make sure golfers are practicing proper manners of play and observance of golf rules and etiquette when scheduled to do so.
  • Sells season passes and assists in keeping records of such.
  • Cleans pro shop and restrooms on a daily basis and as needed.
  • Enforces established policies, rules and regulations of course.
  • Receives and responds to complaints from golfers.
  • Operates a motor vehicle to assist in carrying out the business of the department and the City.
  • Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.

  • Relieve other personnel at the golf course when necessary.

  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • This position is subject to the LBR's Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Program. This includes: possible pre-employment testing, post-accident testing, reasonable suspicion testing, return-to-duty testing, and follow-up testing when necessary, required, or requested.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with patrons and fellow employees.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to count change.
  • Ability to maintain records and files.
  • Working knowledge of the rules of golf.
  • Ability to learn and enforce course policies, rules and regulations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, other LBR departments and staff.
  • Ability to follow verbal and or written instructions.
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
  • Extensive background check may be required.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Golf cart, cash register, computer, janitorial equipment including vacuums, mops, brooms, dusting equipment.
